URGENT COMPLAINT
To: The People's Committee of Quang Ninh province
In light of the incident happened in the morning of July 20, 2009 at the site of Tam Toa church, city of Dong Hoi, Quang Binh province, the Bishopric of Vinh Diocese would like to issue the following statement and request as follow:
1. We strongly protest the brutal actions of the local police forces in assaulting and detaining a large number of our parishioners and in illegally seizing our church's property
2. We hold the Quang Ninh People's Committee and other related offices responsible for the aforementioned violence against our faithful.
3. We demand the immediate return of those faithful being in custody and proper medical treatment for those who were assaulted by the police
4. We ask the government to return the Church's properties.
5. Should our demands be not met, we will hold the Quang Binh province's government responsible in the court of law and in the name of justice,
